597 issues.... Multiple dishcharging.

Hey guys.... Just wondering if anyone has had a 597 double up when fired. I was at the range practicing with my son on the weekend and 3 separate times the 597 fired twice when we took a shot. We pulled the trigger and ba-bam-bam. Any thoughts on what could cause this. It's a 3 year old VTR model and its fired around 2500 rounds. And I'll admit, it's sinfully dirty. Could grime buildup cause this?

Clean it. Even a 10/22 will do this if it is dirty enough.
Cleaning time also offers an opportunity for you to inspect the parts in the firearm to make sure nothing is excessively worn or broken.

i had this happen to me once last week it was sparkling clean it only happened once in the middle of a brick but it's concerning when you have a 30 round mag and wondering if it's going to dump the mag on me lol kinda cool but really not lol
