597 owners, need chamber info

Hey just wondering if someone with a 597 that actually shoots could give me an idea of how tight their chamber is. Mine seems loose , as in bullets drop in and fall out no problem. If you guys hand chamber a round with the bolt locked open and then tip the gun back, does your shell fall out easily.

Wouldn't you want it like that? Seems if your chamber was dirty this would stop happening and extraction/jams would increase. When your shooting the bolt is closed so I think this would be a non issue.Hope this helps.

Mine holds rounds in the chamber, but if you pull it out 1 mm then it will fall freely. Also, if you point the rifle up and smack the butt firmly, it will drop out.
