I just recently purchased a Remington 597 VTR with the M4 style buttstock. I have a Blackhawk Storm Single Point Sling which I wanted to attach to it. The swivel stud's hole (I think thats what it is) on the buttstock is pretty small. The Sling has a mash clip which I assumed opened up enough for you to slide it into the hole however it doesn't fit. Anyone have an idea what I'm doing wrong? Do I need a bigger stud or am I'm doing this all wrong? Do I just use the mash clips on the stud?
