Followed the directions that came with the gun got her all oiled up and when I went to put it back together I couldn't get the rubber hose back on with the fore end . Tried everything oil , wd40 and even tapered the end of the hose slightly . All I did was take some of the finish off of the receiver .

Question is how imprtant is the rubber hose ?
If it is important how in the hell do you get it back on ?

I haven't even fired a shot yet and I already want to sell it .................

Rubber Hose???
Are you talking about the rubber bolt stop located in the upper reciever? If so...
Uhhh, it's damm important and is never supposed to come out. If still under warenty I would take it back asap and get a repaclement.

The first one had I did a detail strip and for the life of me could not get that rubber hose back on, then it blew the extractor on the 8th shot. The dealer gave me a new one................that fore end is not coming of. Its the biggest pain in the ass. Almost makes me want to sell it.

LOL.

That ####ing hose!

I couldn't get mine back on either, it's virtually impossible.
I still haven't shot the gun yet, so I don't know what affect it has on accuracy.
Doesn't make much sense to me, as it renders the barrel "non-free floated", and any pressure on the barrel shroud will in turn effect the barrel.

If it shoots well without the hose I won't give it another thought. If it shoots like crap I'll have to try harder to get the hose back on and see what it does.

Stupid hose!
Aside from that, I really like the gun. :)

Got it back on , put the fore end on then oiled up the rubber hose real gooood and shoved it down over the barrel and pushed it home with a stick . Very technical , I know and probably not the way it was done in the factory ???? But it worked for now , will be sighting it in tomorrow .....................

Hose goes on real easy with WDF!
As I said in an earlier post that the accuracy goes for "NOT" without the dampening effect of the chunk of Dayco heater hose!

As sportsman450 said assemble then lube the barrel and hose. Seat all the way down the forend with a stick. Worked well for me!

I've had the same problem with that hose!!! It was a b*itch to get that barrel shroud off the first time, Once off, I took the hose and put it away just incase it will need it..Other than that, It will stay off.. the take-down instructions say to unscrew forend bolt, then slide off the barrel shroud..Without the hose, you can do just that, with that hose, it's a workout trying to get it off...My vote goes that it's useless....for now...

Just got back from the range , sighted it in at 25 feet to start , grouped within 1/4 ". Then the rain came so I let my son take a few shots before we left and he was taking out golf balls at 50 yards . I am starting to like the gun , my son loves it ......... Had one dud in approx 100 , very smooth loading and ejecting , I used the Win 333's from Walmart . I did do the screws on the rails prior to shooting it . I can't wait for a good day to do the final sighting .
I am going to have to take alot more ammo to the range compared to when I had a bolt .

What is a good range to sight in ????/

LOL!!!
WTF!
I would not ever attempt to put this on my rifle. Also mine was the very first release to the Canadain market and it never came with this hokey part.
