So I drove up the mountain today, I have crown land 5 min away from home , but found every tom -#### & harry is riding around in the bush on new years day , so after an hour I found a spot .

BCboy, you mentioned adjusting the guide rods... How exactly did you adjust them? Does the rifle not come out of the box with the proper torque on them? Did you need to use a torque wrench, or did you do it by feel?

Satain, will the Shooter's Ridge mags engage the bolt catch?

But, boy, have I ever had problems with those 30-round Remington mags...

I found that with the hammer and extractor upgrades 0 issues with the plastic mags with any ammo I choose to shoot my kids 597 which is stock has all kinds of trouble with the plastic mags do the upgrades you will not be sorry

I just backed the 2 setscrews off untill they were finger tight , so the guide rods are all most floating ;)
