6-12 prohibs

Some has been sold for $50.00 some has been sold for $1500.00, without knowing wich gun youre talking about it could be anything !

.

The 12.6 game in Canada is like Highlander. In the end there can be only one. There are a few sought after pieces but for the most part they fetch pennies on the dollar for what they may be worth State side.

value is not near what they should be having prohibs since the 1980s the value has continually decreased, my collection is pennies on the dollar and not going to get any better

Pre-1946 12.6 will stick around longer than the latter ones. And the latter ones can be rebarrelled to restricted if someone wants to.

So, yeah, $50 and up depending on what it is. If it's the older stuff, PM me, I might have a home for them ;)

Yep, what he said.

Mind you, I still by prohibs mainly to keep the government from getting them for destruction.

I still hold out a faint hope that a sensible government will come along and scrap this whole stupid idea.

Even the morons in government can see it did NOTHING to stop or slow down violent or gun crimes.

From what I have seen if you were to buy a 12.6 and rebarrel it than sell it you would lose money. But have not looked into it lately and restricted prices are down more since than it anything.

You can be 45 and have 12.6 on your licence so those guys have a lot of years left. I still plan on kicking around for at least another 30 years. And the best part of being an older parent is that my 14 year old daughter can inherit all my 12.7 eligible prohibs and they will be around til close to the beginning of the 22nd century. My daughter likes the 12.6/12.7 prohibs because they're the "most interesting and coolest looking" of all my handguns.

The 12(6) prohibited class revolver & pistol market is in flux. There are some valuable 12(6) specimens to be sure and they *can* attract a considerable value, but mostly if you can find a suitable buyer & a motivated seller.

However, the vast majority of 12(6) pistols & revolvers IMHO are overpriced. Many sellers liken their value to the open market then become sadly disappointed when their firearm doesn’t sell at that price, & attracts lowballers. As for the future of the 12(6) classification, all the 12(X) categories will not go away or be reformed. If anything, the prohib class will expand. Stephen Harper & the CPC had six (6) years in majority government to fix C68 & failed.

Thanks for the input guys, not just one but several various models. Guess I’ll just post them for sale and if I can’t get enough $ I’ll keep them and have them buried with me!
