6-24x AO Scope For Rimfire Rifle?

I haven't looked through the Varmint line from Hawke, but I was blown away by the quality of the Sidewinder 30 w. 6-20 AO with ballistic reticle. The reticle is etched into the glass...talk about clarity. I'm selling a couple of old Bushnells and Tascos to get the Sidewinder. Great glass makes all the difference.

The only question now is which lucky CZ gets the new glass!

Buy once, cry once. Been said before and holds true. Went the Tasco fiasco route with a target /varmint. Have a Weaver V 24 on one of my guns. Looking through the Tasco is somewhat like peering through a length of conduit, kinda like a dark tunnel. For the $$ spent it did work, looked better in the store though. Vortex Diamondback is also a good choice.

You said "No adjustable objective, which is a deal breaker for my uses."

I have the 6-24X40 Bushnell Banner D&D on my CZ and I really like it. It does have AO and has great glass all the way up to max power. I like the mil-dot better than I thought I would.

I am looking for a decent 6-24x AO scope for rimfire use...

My first choice is a Vortex Crossfire 6-24x50 AO, but it has a 30mm tube and my rifle has the standard 3/8" grooves for scope mounting. To add an EGW rail and 30mm Burris Zee rings will add close to $200 to the cost of the scope.

Higher dollar value but depending on the rifle it may be worth it. Leupold VXIII EFR 6-20x. Sightron SII big sky model also has a good rimfire scope. You're looking at $700 though for the bigsky and about $950 for the EFR. Not cheap. Both are 1" scopes with excellent glass, magnification and down to 10 yards parallax.

I may look at one later for some of my rimfires. With Warne 7.3/22 rimfire rings. They have switchable bases for 3/8" or 11mm dove slots. Look like mini Leupold PRW rings. Work great. If nothing else the rings are worth a look for 3/8" or 11mm.
