6.5-06 Custom Load

In my rifle at least; 49 grains of Alliant Power Pro 4000 MR under Nosler Competition 140 grain BT match bullets housed in sized/fire formed 270 Win (Winchester) brass ahead of CCI 200 primers, is sub MOA at 600 meters (654 yards). Shot at MilCun locally. The Alliant burn rate chart places the 4000 MR two spots away from H-4831, which is my preferred powder in this chambering, but not available. Yes, I bought out the local supply of this powder at my LGS. I was forced to try something new and it worked out well indeed.

I may have to try that. I'm down to only a couple pounds of 4831. I have some surplus powder that is pretty close in burn rate I was planning on trying next, but this looks pretty good. - dan
