I'm looking for a budget friendly brake for a 6.5 CM not looking for the best of the best just something that does the intended job. Any reviews thoughts and ideas would be appreciated thank you

Running an Area419 and also a couple of VGC brakes.

Buy what works for you and your game, budget, availability, ease of installation, ease of cleaning, and finally LCV; looks cool value.

Cheers, Barney

With the current high price and low availability of ammunition you may not be able to shoot enough to bother your shoulder with an unbraked rifle. And with a bolt you may not be taking a followup shot quite quickly enough for the brake to help you stay on target like you might with a semi.

On the plus side though, during this present pandemic, a brake really helps with social distancing as it encourages other range users to pick any lane other than the ones right beside you.

I put a MRA rock solid on a 6.5 Grendel, and for $100 it does exactly what it's supposed to. I can see hits and misses through the scope without issue, and there seems to be no accuracy degradation.

My go to is the Insite Heathen. I think the 4-port version is ideal for anything in a short action (like 6.5 Creed) although the older 3-port version is also very effective. I run a 5-port on my .300 Norma Mag but I don't think you'll see much difference between the 4 and 5 port on something with the case capacity of a 6.5 Creedmoor.

Not a 6.5 Creedmoor, but on my 6.5PRC build by Tacord we went with an Insite Arms single chamber self indexing muzzle brake. This thing feels like a 223 when it goes off.

Very pleased with my VG6 Gamma on my Creedmoor. Would buy it again. Wasn't much more than 100 bucks.
