I now have 3 6.6 Creed’s and was thinking of trying the good old Hornady 160 RN, any body try this and have any load suggestions?

You would have to seat it quite deep, using up case capacity. But it would be a good moose bullet.. My brother in law used the 160RN in a65.x55 to get a moose...Good mushroom. Recovered under hide on far side.

Hornady Reloading Manual - 9th Edition - lists 160 grain Interlock RN with 6.5 Creedmoor - p. 299 - has 10 powders listed - Maximum Loads pretty much identical to those shown on table from Ganderite in Post #3. Hornady used 24" 1-8" twist barrel, Hornady cases, and Fed 210 primers (p. 296). Calls out C.O.L. at 2.740" (p. 299) for that bullet. The main difference, I think, is the Hornady book lists Win 748 and Win 760, instead if the Surplus WC powders in the table above.
