So I am kinda curious, I picked up a 6.5 creedmoor last fall and want to re load for it. I have been looking for H4350, and have had little to no luck so I figured I would look and see what I had in the cupboard and try and roll up a few with what I had on hand.

The larges lot of powder I have on hand happened to be Ramshot TAC, and when looking over the Nosler reloading recipe book they had loads for Nosler 100 grains. Now, all I had in the 100 grains happened to be som Hornady ELD match, so I rolled up some loads and headed out to the range.

Success, I shot 12 3 shot groups and while I didn't chrony any of them, I was extremely happy with the results. It was a bit windy for any quality shooting, this is Saskatchewan andbwindbisbalmost always a Factor. The best grouping was around .35" , which made me smile just a little bit.

Just curious, anyone else have some pleasant surprises loading for this round? My Berger 140 grain/Winn 760 loads were not quite as good but still produced a 100 yard group of around .7"

All in all a decent/ cold because of wind day at the range. Had anither 100 rounds of 308 to go through after a couple different bullets, and powder combinations but it was just too cold to finish off...

I'd love to hear your input.

That is excellent shooting of what appears to be ammo well suited for the rifle.

Sort of takes the fun out of it. Not much left to do.

760 is similar speed to 4350. Looks to be plenty good enough for hunting.

I caved and have a 6.5cm coming as well. Only powder I have suitable is 414 on hand, lots of 140gr pills already. Superform and 100v look good on paper if no 4350 can be found...will probably try a lb of each before commiting.
Might try IMR4831 which is in between those two, have lots of it on hand.

Every time I go in, Northpro is all out.... one of these days. I still would like to pick up a few lbs of 4350, to work on some more 130 and 140 Gr loads... Even when you have found a good load, gotta keep looking for more to work on... :)

If you are ever in Regina, TNT usually has some.

Seems like H4350 just shipped to a bunch of retailers, I picked up a couple pounds at Cabela's the other day.

I loaded up some IMR4451 under 140gr Barnes Match Burners for my 6.5CM bolt action and so far results look promising, I'm just getting up into the velocity range I'm hoping to find a good accurate load in and so far during work up all the groups have been about 1 moa or better.

I just built a few testers for the Modern Hunter in 6.5CM with IMR4451 under 130gr ELD-X but haven't tested them yet.
I've had pretty good results so far with Hybrid 100V and Varget under a 129gr Hornady SST in the Modern Hunter as well.

I have great results with H4350 but its about as scarce as Liberal common sense right now. Got my hands on some RL26. Still in preliminary development but had good results so far. 47 gr is pushing my SMK 142 gr 2820 fps (Ruger Precision, 24" barrel). 47.5 gr is where the powder starts to get compressed. Started at 45 gr, had a stiffer bolt at 48.5 gr. Bullets were seated 0.020" off the lands.

I’ve used H4350, Rl17, and both were very good but now use exclusively Rl16, and it’s been the best for my reloading.
Works great with my 123 Scenar and 140 Berger Hybrids. Faster then the other 2 powders in Lapua brass at the higher speeds I like to run and no pressure signs. Am getting over 2900 FPS in my 140s with it.
Definitely worth trying, and have also heard a rumour that it may be a bit easier on barrels then H4350 too? I can’t speak to that and not a real concern of mine, but lower ESs and great SDs off my Labradar with this powder too.
Also seems to be fairly temp intolerant. Used the same exact load over this winter in minus 5 to minus 10 here in AB, that I just ran on a 3 day course in Texas two weeks ago in plus 24 temp, and read very close FPS and SDs. That’s awesome in my book. Not even a 20fps swing over 30 degrees temp difference!
I am also really tempted to try RE26, as it it supposed to give even faster speeds without pressure but have read it is very temp sensitive.

I've helped my buddy do some reloading with his 6.5 CM and H4350 is the money powder in his rifle. I think it is a good overall powder for a lot of standard 6.5's. My 260 sure liked it too.

I've been using Superformance and 120gr amax with great success and my hunting load consists of 140gr Berger VLD Hunting with Reloder19. My RPR seems to love that combo the most with many many 0.35" groups

I'm using the Berger 130s in my Swede and H435 and it is similarly accurate. I'd like to try them in my LH Predator as well.

I had the Predator out this weekend and got sub 0.5" groups with H4350 and 140SST and 140SMK.

414 with 140 Hornady was giving me 5 shots touching at 100, but left the necks quite dirty, I will need to add more powder and try some more.
Fun little cartridge, very long throats so I can see there will be some tinkering with this one.
