Might pick one of these up, brass seems to be nowhere at the usual spots, even dies I'll probably have to order from the US as the selection here blows.
Anyone got a line on the brass? I can live with Hornady....

I haven't seen any Hornady 6.5 PRC brass since February. I think it's all going into the factory ammo. Very popular cartridge, huge demand

Ammo is regularly 10-15% off at Cabela's with free shipping fairly regularly.

Still not cheap, but picked up 10 boxes of Hornady 6.5PRC ammo for the brass essentially.

Gotta pay to play with this caliber right now.

Just a heads up. Do some research on dies if your going to reload. There is tons of people having issues with the dies not sizing the brass down far enough after 2nd and 3rd firings, including me.

I'll bet the dies are Hornady dies.

You would be right in my case. I have talked to several other people with the same problem, they are using redding rcbs and even forster. A quick Google search will show a few forums on this.

Yeah, I'm going to try and #### can my rifle order...kind of put the cart before the horse in this one. I can't own something there is no brass for lol.

Can you please tell the exact problem you are having?

Clicking bolt when extracting fired brass. But only 2x or 3x reloaded brass. I blackened a casing to see where it is jambing and it is right at the bottom webbing just above where the die stops. After resizing my brass is measuring .532

Don't get me wrong I am loving the caliber shoots great just be nice once they get some brass available.

I'll give it a shot when brass supply catches up, no shortage of 6.5 bullets/powder/primers in my inventory, very familiar with the caliber.
The sizing issue seems like just another added pain, I would have probably went with a Lee FL sizer die, Redding NS die, and Forster seater. Lee dies always seem to oversize brass, and they are not expensive, would be fine for my first sizing and any bumping required down the road...if there was brass!
I'll probably grab a 6mm CM if I can cancel this order. I can live with the slower 6.5x55 and 6.5CM for a while longer yet.
Bullseye has a good deal going on Howa 1500's for $650 all in, it's a hunting rifle not a HB Target, comes with a ####ty scope and mounts I'd flog for $100 so a nice cheap option for a solid action built like a tank. I'm just not that guy that will drop $700 on factory ammo to get 200 pieces of brass lol.

Hmm, mine measure .532" also but extraction is no problem. Isn't .532" the sammi specified measurement?
