anyone have any experience with this one? seems like a dandy little cartridge from what i've read, very little recoil and accurate.

I have two a Rem 660 and an original dog leg bolt Ruger. Have taken many caribou with the 6.5 and it will do anything a 270 can from a short action.

Favourite bullets 125 Partitions and 129 Hornady Spires. Loaded at 3000ft/sec they do a nice job on 300 pound caribou.

Remington only chambers it currently, in the 673 Guide Rifle

Im sure it'd be a great cartridge. Like a belted 6.5-284, or as said, 270 Winchester.

another nice cart seems to be the 264 winchester, is this produced by anyone? what would it take to rebarrel to this calibre?

One of my favorites.Just finished setting mine up.Im shooting a MDL 70 Classic Sporter.Deadly accurate and fast.Shooting factory 140 Grainer at just under 3000 fps and just under a inch at 100.I dont think any one still chambers this round, which is to bad. Will fit in a 30-06 length action.

Remington is chambering the 264 Win Mag this year in the Sendero SF II

I'll probably end up getting one as soon as they become available  A 140 with a BC of .500+ @ 3200 fps is pretty appealing...
