6.5 swede ammo

Swede ammo

The old military stuff is getting hard to find BUT you can buy the modern hunting ammo in sports shops. I see some old military stuff for sale on the exchange, but I'll pass on that.

Milsurp still shows up once and, a while.

SFRC stocks it.( S&B) and, they are awesome to seal with. Most bigger shops will have it too.

This is one that's a strong incentive to handload for. Not only cheaper but, you can fine tune it. (easy to say/type...I don't handload yet)

Winchester and Federal both offer commercial ammo as well as some European manufacturer's. The NA stuff is loaded very soft in deference to the older Krag rifles that are not very strong. The Euro stuff is not.

6.5x55 is a great reloaders round and the cost comes down to something more like reasonable, the same as most any other centerfire rifle round.

I have a couple of boxes of the Centurion surplus. I didn't realize surplus is drying up. I guess I will be reloading soon for it.
