Got myself a new to me 6.5 x 47 lapua rifle from a great friend. Looking forward to trying out this new calibre & do some target shooting & some hunting with it.

It is a great very accurate little round. I have a customer who has cleanly killed Elk at over 400 yards with a 130 grain. It's his favorite target rifle.

You will love it. I got a full custom built by R Bros last year. Incredible rifle. Shoots the 130 Berger at 3000 fps out of a 26" barrel. I am building another lighter weight X47 right now. Should finish right at 8 lbs complete. Thinking of trying the Barnes 127 LRX in this one. Only powder I have used is H4350. Shoot gongs with mine out to 910 yds with ease. Wish I had a property to shoot farther but I don't. What bullet and powder are you going to shoot? My current build also has a Benchmark on it but it is a #3 fluted.

I did a fair amount of testing on the 6.5X47 lapua last summer while developing rpr barrels and it shot good with everything I fed it , on one target with 5 aim points and 5 different loads the largest group was .375" at 110 yards , I am really considering building one for myself seeing I already have the brass and dies.

Which different bullets and Powder did you shoot? Looking for a load with the 127 LRX for my new build.

Tomochan is that max with the 123's? That's my exact load with the 130 Berger. No pressure with mine at that load.

Not seeing any pressure at all so I'm figuring that I could go higher. Honestly though when I can get 1/2 minute accuracy out of a tactical/precision rig I usually stop tinkering and work on other stuff like time behind trigger.

How do you like the 7-35 compare to you gen2 razor

A bit too early to tell really. Glass is a bit better with the ATACR but I prefer the turrets and reticle of the Razor II so it is a bit of a wash. I will shoot some work in the next couple of weeks and then (since I own both and don't sell either LOL !) write an honest review.

What are the reason folks are chosing the x47 over 260Rem or 6.5CM.
I chose 260Rem for slightly larger case and Lapua brass.
Today might go with 6.5CM now that Lapua has brass.

I went with the X47 just to be different. No one has one around here and the ballistics are so close to the 260 and Creed I figured why not. Plus guys are saying they have ran the original 100 brass to wear out a barrel! I'm sure the 260 and Creed are also great. I really don't think the X47 gets the recognition it deserves on threads. It always seems guys only ask about the 260 and the Creedmore.
