i wouldn't worry about firing ANY factory loaded rounds in a sound swedish mauser .
i have read that they have been proof tested at around 66,000 psi .
there are also thousands of these rifles rebarreled to 308 .
if there was a issue the internet would be full of bloody pictures of exploded swedish mausers ... i haven't seen any myself yet .
if factory loaded rounds where not safe to fire in swedish mauser , there would be warnings all over the box .... even then they would probally still get their collective asses sued off if something bad happened .
what does happen , is that after awhile of firing high pressure rounds the locking lugs start to set back , eventually creates headspace problems which could possibly cause a ruptured case head , and the resulting escaping gasses back at the shooter ..... again if this was a issue there would be bloody pictures of this all over the internet .
these rifles have been in use for over a hundred years and if in good shape , are as safe as ever if treated with respect .
i haven't used the 140 grain partition in my rifles , but barnes bullets used to make a 140 x bullet that was the same length as the original 160 grain round nose bullet . i have found it to be extreemly accurate .
i have also have had good luck with hornady interlocks .
