Did a quick search and didn't come up with anything, I'm just wondering what grain and type of bullet are you shooting from your 6.5

Looking for some info before I buy 1000 of something that might not shoot the best out of my RPR

Thanks in advance

The best loads for my Ruger Precision Rifle were with IMR4350,41.5 GR.WITH A 142 smk,Fed 210 m.then same load but with 139 gr. Lapua. .59'' then .60 for 5 shots at a hundred, will put hunting bullets under 1''

My "go-to" powder for my 6.5CR (Cooper Montana Varminter) is H4350. Most of my bullets are in the 140 gr range (139 gr Scenar to 142 gr SMK or Matrix VLD). Another bullet that I have had some success with (Under 0.5 MOA) is the Berger 120 gr BT Target . With this latter bullet I used RL-15 and Varget. PM me for specifics. Another thing you should look at is bullet seating depth. Apparently, from my reading and first hand experience, 6.5CR likes to be about 0.020 off the lands.

I've got a variety of loads I'm currently testing (Hornady 129gr, 140gr 143gr, Berger 130gr hybrid, 140gr VLD) but so far I really like the new Hornady 143gr ELD bullets. Still working out an optimal load. I had reloaded and shot 100 rounds of 140Gr Amax before and had good results as well. Every trip to the range has improved my groups and I'm now sub .8 MOA every time with my personal best being .32" for a 5 shot group. If I could shoot that great all the time, I would be really happy!

140 Berger Target Hybrids. Just got my RPR as well and working on loads with H4350. Best group so far was 0.4 MOA but I can get that down once I test seating depths and refine the charge a bit more. Most Creedmoor shooters find that loads in the 42's work best (I would have to check but max recommended load is 39.7) but I haven't gone there.

I'm thinking of grabbing 1000 139 lapua scenars, I already have varget, should I grab a pound of h4350 and try that as well?

Why would you buy 1000 of any bullet without testing them first. Just because a few guys say there rifle shoots brand X really well doesn't mean your barrel will like them.

Definitely worth trying a pound of H4350, it's the go to for 6.5 and 140ish pills.

And I wouldn't be ashamed to buy 1000 Scenars! If you're happy being sub MOA, you will be well served in my opinion. Plus the Lapua bullets are one of the best deals, the QC is good and they're 15-30% cheaper than Sierra and Berger boolits

100 Bergers are $88, 100 scenars are $49 at hirsch.

And now that I think of it I should probly 300 and make sure I like them before going and buying 1000
