I'd like to try some 140gr 6.5mm bore-rider (aka two-diameter) bullets. My 160gr Hornadys are as such, but is anyone aware of 140gr 6.5mm's?

I heard that the 140gr Winchester Power point and 140gr Remington Core Lokt were bore-riders - if anyone has any, would they mind measuring in front of and behind the cannelure to see if they're 0.264" behind and something less the full distance ahead?

Hi Andy, I have the 140 rem core locks you speak of, They are a bore rider design.

These bullets have two Cannelures, first Cannelure is .190 from the base second is .400 from the base.

Size ahead of the second cannelure goes from .260 to .250 in a slow taper till the olgive .900 from the base to the olgive.
Length of bullet is 1.225 long.

I shoot them in a M38 Swede, I found if I seated them in the second cannelure I got poor accuracy, I seated them in the first, Accuracy came way up.
Made the OAL a long 3.165 but they still fit in the box mag fine.

Hope this helps you.
