I just put a new tube on my 260, which stressed me as the one I removed shot 140gr VLD Bergers very well and won me my fair share of F-Class matches, but it had over 2500rnds so figured it was due. It took me about 600rnds to get it shooting playing with different powders and seating depth's, to the point I almost gave up on it. So on the new barrel I decided to try 142gr Matrix match bullets. Wow! if I can figure out how to post pics on here they will tell the story. I loaded new 260 Lapua brass that only had an expander mandrel shoved in them to make sure necks were round, chamfered and loaded. The first batch of 50 were loaded for brake-in and testing in the hood of my old loads. It was quite windy but showed good promise. The second load of 50 are on this target. Keep in mind these are not 3 or 5 but 10 shot groups. I think these are awesome bullets and two of the groups were different seating depth's which made no difference.
I then loaded the best group and took them to the Challenge Match in Chilliwack and won the F-Open.
All you 6.5mm shooters really should give these Canadian made pills a try.
Oh! these were shot at 100 meters with a tiny bit of wind and mirage

I just tried some of Matrix 130 gr VLD's for the first time, did my first work up yesterday. I only had new (unfired), light, thin, Remington brass, but they shot nice, my new Lapua brass is coming, and I will never shoot any other brass again.

Only three shot groups at 100m, working on load development, but 39.2 gr of Varget put all 3 in one hole. I'll be getting more of these. Canadian made Precision Match Grade bullets. How cool is that?

What is the deal with these bullets? I checked his website and only see hunting bullets in 6.5mm. Are these a special order?

I know, weird eh...

I e-mailed them and asked, and lo and behold... 129 VLD's. (Edited from original. these are 129 gr not 130). I think we should have kept a good thing quiet ;)

I better order my big batch before word gets out.

Seems shockman is hanging in with heavies with his Matrix 142's.

1st and 2nd place are shooting 180's in 7mm (1 V-bull apart) with shockman 1 point and 1 V-bull behind 2nd place at the Alberta Provincials.

Marshal dropped a box of his 142g 6.5 bullets for me to try in my 6.5x55 that Dennis built for me last year.Sounds like I should try them, they are on the bench with a new box of Lapua brass.
