I remember a thread a couple of weeks ago about testing various bullets in 6.5mm.

I know it is a lot of job, but
did i miss the results?

Sorry guys, I've been busy with work (only 3 days off in the last 3 weeks) and with a new puppy. It's still coming. Still collecting newspaper so I can do all the bullets in one session for more uniformity in the test. I didn't expect such a response and I'm needing a lot more newspaper than I thought. Give me a few more weeks and I should have some results.:sniper:

sure sure....I bet you just made it all up to stock your self up on 6.5 bullets for free!:D

I'll run a parallel test, just to be sure he's not making it all up.... :D

Joking aside, all of us 6.5 lovers are waiting for the test. Skip work. It's for a greater good. ;)

Just to give you guys a quick idea of how much newspaper I need. When I did my .35 Whelen test with 225gr and 250gr bullet, the penetration was between 17 to 20 inches. I was shooting 2 different bullet, 3 shot each (total 6) per newspaper bundle.

I'm hoping to be able to do 3 different bullet, 3 shot each (total 9) per bundle with the 6.5. So, lets say an average of 18" of penetration for the 6.5 bullets, 3 different bullet per bundle. Total of 24 different bullet to test divided by 3 different bullets per bundle, equals 8 bundles of 18". Total of
144" (12') of newspaper! .

I'm excited about the test as well, I'm almost there.
