6.5X284 Norma Factory Will Not Chamber?

I have a Cooper Model 22 in 6.5X284, rifle shoots great and I know it has a tight chamber. That said I purchased a box of Norma factory 6.5X284 ammunition and it will not chamber in my rifle. It might be possible if I really cammed the bolt down but I am not prepared to do that. Haven't miked it yet, just got home from the range. Just wondering if anyone had a similar experience or a possible explanation?

I had the exact same issue with mine in jackson. After I once fired the brass it champered way easyer on the hand loads. I have a feeling its an issue with neck thickness. I find at anything around .295 it becomes tight to chamber.

If it's a neck issue, then don't fire it. It will create excessive pressure.

Does the caliber stamp say 6.5-284 win or 6.5-284 Norma. To my understanding when Norma standardized the cartridge they changed it slightly and it won't work in a win chamber. I have some info I could email.
