6.5x52 carcano

Fiocchi, PPV, hornady make it if i remember correctly. talk to your local gun store and see what they can do for you. En-bloc clips gona be tricky to find, maybe bigger gunshows

Trade-Ex Canada (gray link at 10 o'clock from the world-famed fanTABulous CGN Beaver) has dies, bullets and brass.

Lee makes dies which are rather inexpensive and work fine.

Friend JP (on this forum) has CLIPS..... AND is willing to let some go!

Hope this helps.

Save your empties and start reloading.

The 6.5x52 MC is a fantastic little cartridge. It has a very slight edge on a .30-30 but it is FAR better in bush and also is an excellent long-range cartridge due to the stability of that very long bullet.

I do agree, they are MUCH too expensive in this country, but reload fr about the same cost as anything else: about 55 to 65 cents a pop.

Quite a few Carcanos are capable of handling Cast bullets: costs you a $25 Lee mould from Mid-South..... and a 3-cent gas check, but gets your target shooting down to a dime a shot with about 11 or 12 grains of Red Dot. For regular reloading, try the faster double-based powders such as Alliant RL-7. Original military ammo was loaded with Ballistite, which was double-based.

Carcanos are pure fun.

DO enjoy!

I'm reloading casts in this caliber and to my surprise it's very easy to reload for, find components and it's far more accurate than I expected.

Parts for the rifle ( like firing pin) are far harder to get.

I have few spare enblocks-give me a shout if you are interested.
