i just got a huscavarna 6.5x55 rifle and the guy gave me 2 types of ammo.the one is norma 6.5 carcana and the casings seem smaller then the 6.5x55 winchester ammo.just wondering if there safe to use or just get rid of them.also the dies and gun and other stuff is all marked 6.5x55.thanx for the info

The Carcano ammunition would likely be dangerous to fire in your 6.5x55mm. The case diameter is smaller and even if it would fire, you are likely to blow out the case and risk the potential of catastrophic failure of the rifle.
Look for buyers for the Carcano ammunition, as it is not often seen.
As mentioned above, if it doesn't say 6.5 x 55 mm, then it is the wrong ammunition.

Do not fire the Carcano ammo in the rifle. It is for the Italian 6.5 x 52 Carcano rifle. Do not throw it out either. Sell it on CGN. I would think you could get 30 bucks for a box of Norma.
