Just took one out for a ride today to get a test target to include with it. Forgot how much I enjoyed shooting that caliber. I mounted the barrel on short action to do a test group, had 4 shots touching and about to touch off the 5th when out pops a fawn whitetail standing right beside my target stand...of course I pulled the shot and ruined my group. The deer did not even flinch. Had to wait him out. The deer showed absolutely no fear of gunfire.

On another note...tried out a select match ratchet rifled .260 bbl I am in the process of building for myself and it showing tremendous potential. I think I will order a few more in.

You should of greased the fawn.

It drives me absolutley insane when I'm out in the pasture plinking away and a deer is standing downrange watching me. Always just out of season too...

Somehow they know. As soon as season starts, they are nowhere to be found, and then come back out when it's over.
