6.5x55 brass?

If you want the real stuff try Peter Dobson, of Hirsch Precision in Halifax, he stocks the Lapua casings.

I just got ahold of Peter.... about $72 for 100rds of Lapua 6.5x55 brass. Think I might go for this and get 200rds. I'll be doing a load work up then setting aside a supply for a fews years worth of deer havesting.

Russells and Wholesale may say they sell it, but the question is do they actually have some???
$72+ for 100 rounds of brass just for hunting? Wow, must be nice to have money :p . Call around a bit. I got some Winchester from P&D at a gunshow for $20/bag.

(E)

Just heard back from them.... price is reduced to $68/100 now. I think I'll go ahead and see how good Lupua really is ;)

what gun is this for? You might find it pricey if you plan to reload for a Ljungman, and then watch it hurl your 0.68$/round brass into the next timezone never to be seen again, or watch the action batter/dent/tear this brass to pieces, or a combination of both  :runaway:

It is for my new Ruger M77 mkII bolt action. Not planning on shooting it alot, just want to work up an uber deer load then set a few seasons worth aside.
