After one year waiting my 6.5x55 arrived. It is a heavy bbl Tikka Varmint.
I think it is a steal, bbl and trigger are from Sako and action is very smut.
I almost got rid of Lapua Brass, Wilson dies and Farrell picanty rail and all bullets I have collected through the year.
I still have to buy rings, which most likely gonna be Leupold PRW and for now I will use Elite 4200 4-16x50.

Can't wait to dial that rifle for longer range hunting and shooting.

PeterPan I think your rifle was on same boat as mine. I am still working up loads for a few different bullets and powders and am getting some very encouraging groups. Rifle no longer wears this scope but a pic of mine.

Sorry guys for luck of picks, I have not picked the rifle yet from Epps. This Saturday I will go and get it. The rifle doesn't look very impressive, however I like the caliber and the quality bbl with good trigger for 999 dollars.

.330Dakota,
which powder you are going to try? I will try Re22 and Fed 210M primer, brass Lapua and bullets for now SierraMK 140gr.

Greetings

I have had good luck with H4831, also am trying H4350 with good results so far with light bullets 100-120g, not used with 140's yet. I would like to try R22 or R15 but have not had the chance. I use Lapua brass, Fed match primers.

Still waiting to get some 140 secnars(income tax). I eventually will try the 108's, 123's, and Sierra's as well.

That will take care of your income tax refund and the whole summer pissing around with 4 powders and 10 different bullets, finding the right load:D
Load some 140's man, we got the 1000 back:D

The 140 load should be about same as last years. Just need to find that sweet spot for the lighter bullets(ground hogs). I'm just waiting for tax return so I can get 2k of bullets and 5-600 more pieces of brass. I'm almost there with the 4350 and 100's and 120's.
