6.5X61 Sharp & Hart?

Any nutters own a rifle in this calibre? If so, care to chime in. Good or Bad, Would love to hear your views. Thank's in advance.

The '61' S & H case is too tapered for me... not to say it wouldn't work well in a front lug action... but why? Other than because you want to...

Just get a 7mm RM and be done with it. It's basically the same ballistics performance with a great deal less hassle.

6.5 would be 264 win mag.

wouldn't the 6.5x61 sharp & hart be really close in capacity to the 6.5x284 ?

My bad. I thought it read 7x61 S&H.

It has slightly less capacity then the 264 Win Mag, same relationship it's parent 7x61 has with the 7 Rem/Wby Mag twins. I lime the 7mm version, but I haven't played with the 6.5 version. - dan
