Does anybody have a source for concrete information on 6 mm flobert?

Also, what do you guys know about this caliber? Is it, in fact different from .22 cb?

Hi mooncoon,
Yes, that's whet my research thus far has told me also. I'm wondering if it's an antique status viable caliber... Seems it should be ok but I'm wondering how the techs at the cfc will feel.

Thanks!

European CB Cps often come in tins marked 6mm...... or they did when I was a kid.

The original 6mm Flobrt cartridge contained no powder, just priming compound.

It is the ANCESTOR of all our Rimfires and, thus, the direct ancestor of ALL modern self-contained ammunition.

It won't qualify as an antique I think. Essentially classified same as .22 cb etc. has no powder charge. If you want I can look at a package if mine and see the measurements. I fired them. As loud as cb shorts. They are slightly larger I imagine.
Bought them locally in Hamilton. I think anyone who sells S&B ammo should be able to get them.

If they are classed the same as .22 cb it shouldn't matter as .22 cb isn't on the list either...

It seems that 6mm flobert predates .22 short by about a decade. If that is the case it should be a-ok...
