6 Ppc

Cartridges of the World says despite its smaller size, it is approaching a .243 Winchester (aka 6mm Winchester at one time) for power and is good for varmints to antelope to (small) deer. Ask a .243 shooter what their preferred maximum engagement range is? I wouldn't go beyond 300yrds for anything bigger than 75 lbs body weight.
 
The 6ppc is competitive out to 300yds. Typically 100 to 200. Typical in the sense that the bulk of users shoot it in competition from 100 to 200 yards.
