Yep, you read that right - 60,000 lumens and with a throw of well over a kilometre!
Our latest stocking order just came in from Acebeam and this brand new portable searchlight was included (as well as the new T27 and Hunting Kit versions of the L16, T36 and L30 Gen II).
Here's a brief rundown:
Describing Acebeam's new X70 as "bright" is like saying a hurricane or typhoon is "windy"... the X70 delivers an unprecedented 60,000 lumens in a 1,115 metre beam. The lumens are served up by a Cree XHP35 HI chip backed by 12 Cree XHP70.2 emitters, fuelled by a rechargeable battery pack with 8 Sony VTC6 18650 lithium ion batteries, and focused by a complex reflector into an epic beam, brilliantly lighting objects as far as you can see. The heat from these LEDs is dissipated by a centrifugal fan built into the carrying handle and powered by a separate rechargeable 18650 cell, allowing the X70 to sustain outputs of up to 18,000 lumens for 50 minutes and blast out 25,000 lumens for 8 minutes or 60,000 lumens for nearly a minute – durations which are not practical without active cooling.
And here's the spec on the new T27 which has a few less lumens and is more portable and more affordable but, amazingly, also has a throw of well over a kilometre!
The T27 delivers a 2500 lumens maximum output powered by a single 21700 5100mAh battery (included). Moreover, T27 is also machined to take a single 18650 battery with using the equipped 18650 battery adapter, or a pair of CR123 batteries. This versatile light caters for multiple output level demands selected using the side switch. The tail switch allows a quick access to Turbo. The equipped USB-C charging cable makes it much more convenient with 3 times faster charging speed and it can be used as a power bank. The optional remote pressure switch and range of filters (to follow) make it an ideal companion for any kind of rifle/carbine.
