Hey guys and gals,

Last fall one of the fellows in our moose hunting party shot a moose with a 60" rack. Beautiful animal, and more than likely this guy will never shoot a moose that big again. A few weeks ago the rack was stolen from his home in St. Georges, MB. If any of you Manitoba 'Nutz hear of a rack that size being sold, traded, whatever I'd appreciate a PM. This guy doesn't care about how or why it happened, all he wants is his antlers back - no questions asked. Pics are available if need be. Thanks.

That sucks man. Hope he gets it back. Theft seems to be treated way too lightly in our society. They need to be kicked the nuts repeatedly for all the damage they do.

that's horrible. As much value as it may have to whoever stole it, it means far more than that to the guy who shot the moose.

a guy here in NS had a set of similar size lifted from his camp a couple of years ago and is still looking for them.hope you guys have better luck getting them back.keep an eye on kijiji.

For comparison, this rack was almost 62"

I will keep my eyes and ears open for any info.,As I was in kinda the same scenario with a nice 4X4 buck I shot a couple years ago,However I knew who had them.It took over a year to get them back.
I hope he has luck finding them.

Thats too bad, can't mean much to someone for the trophy aspect except the shooter but I guess in black market for aphrodisiac or something thieves would see some potential. By the way do you guys have any former hunt camp members who left a little on the disgruntled side?:(

I hate to sound like an ass but is there even a chance of getting it back? I mean is there any way for this guy to prove what moose rack is his? Anyone could be a selling a 60" moose rack that might look like the same.

Just saying....

to the spank..

no disgruntled members in our group. pretty much the same crew for the last 10 years.

drache...

i understand what you're saying. i don't expect that my post on CGN is going to find this guy his rack. however, i figured what do i have to lose. i suspect the rack was stolen because it was a convenient item to take, not because of the value of the rack. my guess is the people who took it had a good laugh with it and are either going to abandon it somewhere or try to sell it. the rack only has a cash value to someone who appreciates a rack that size, meaning hunters like you and i. that's why i figured it was worth a shot to post it here.

I don't know about you guys but we get horn buyers up here in northern B.C. I talked to one a few years ago good guy, people like that is likely where a thief will go for quick cash.
