624i vs M5Xi vs PMII vs Razor Help

OK - so this is for all who are interested: Firstly, I have been criticized for 'going public' about QC issues - many people and not just dealers would rather sweep this under the carpet so as to not hurt sales -and so I don't expect this post to make me any friends but here goes - apologies in advance for being a longish read:.

Thanks Tomochan! I appreciate your honesty.
I'm glad I gone with S&B but even S&B had a QC issues for brief period.

Till now, I would have went with the Kahles or the Vortex based mostly on the reticle design. I don't really see a difference between any of them in terms of quality. They are all good, so it really comes down to preferences in the features. In an FFP scope, the reticle is a HUGE one because you're always using it. It's your interface basically. Having heard rumors that NF will be releasing an xmas tree version of the Mil-C, I am waiting for SHOT to see if that materializes. Since they have a nice xmas tree reticle in the 1-8x24 F1 they just released, I think it may be a real possibility. A 7-35x ATACR with an xmas tree Mil-C would quickly become the most popular scope in PRS. The reticle is really the only thing holding back the ATACR... few like the Mil-whatever or the Horus offerings. Although, the Mil-C was definitely a step in the right direction.

Swarovski took over distribution for certain Kahles models (the K16i, K1050, and K624i's) in January of 2017. As a result, these products became available to every Swarovski dealer, and inventory levels appeared to be much better than was previously the case. Improved distribution, coupled with the very favorable reviews that the scopes received from the pro circuit (i.e. Precisionrifleblog) resulted in increased demand for the K624i models. In particular, the K624i with the SKMR3 reticle and left-side windage experienced very heavy demand and they were sold-out for a lengthy period. QC issues with any premium optic typically are a statistical anomaly (i.e. over several years as a dealer, I've only had one Schmidt Bender PMII that had an interior imperfection on a lens, for example). However it can be drawn that attempting to meet dramatically increased demand can result in QC/production short comings.

With respect to any issues with any Kahles products, Swarovski provides outstanding, and painless support. Furthermore as a dealer, I am committed to providing additional support whenever possible.

Should you have an issue with any Kahles/Swarovski product, particularly a K624i, I am happy to assist you directly, or help expedite a service order with Swarovski.

Cheers,

Omer

Great news. All I'm waiting for is a better reticle and I'll pull the trigger on one.
