.69 cal BP Cannons *PICS*

i don't want to hijack this thread but the subject of round ball came up in reloading the 12ga......I use a .715" round ball and the cushion part of a WAA12 wad(I cut the petals off) and use a charge of powder meant for a 1 3/8 oz. shotload. Accurate at 50 yds. and hits hard!!
 
the old brown bess flint was .69 caliber- all remarks regarding the rifles should also apply to the cannon, including the moulds

Actually the Brown Bess is .75 calibre. The Charleville 1766 is .69 calibre.

May I suggest you go on to the Pedersoli site and click on the listing for the 1766 Charleville. You can order a bullet mould of that caliber through them!
