Hi Everyone
I've got a 6mmBR barrel on order, and am wondering what kind of dies to get. Anyone have any advice for a first time 6BRer? If it matters, I really like Lee Collet dies, but am open to anything.
Thanks,
Barry

Oh, I should mention...

I'm looking at a 6PPC Lee collet die for the neck (supposed to work on the 6BR)
and a Forrester Ultra Micrometer seating die.

I also need something to bump the neck then right?

If you very serious,I was going to suggest the wilson route, if that doesn't appeal then the Redding Bushing Dies.

My vote would be for a Forster Precision Bushing Bump Die. Get the bushings you want to size the neck and bump the shoulder back .001" to .002".
The Forster PBBD won't do anyhting to the body so you'll also need a body (only) die. A pass through the body die about every 4th. or 5th. firing or as needed when the case starts to get snug in the chamber and you're set. Tight headspace and a should bump and your brass wil last a long time. I've got 6BR Lapua that has been fired between 15 and 20 times and it's still going strong.
I also use RCBS Compitition seaters that I've swapped parts to fit the 6BR.
Any Micrometer seater will probably do a real good job. Works for me.:D

And another advantage of the Forster Bushing dies is you can swap bushings to change calibers. Took my Forster 6BR die, got another set of bushings and can now load for my 22BR. Same for the 17,20, 25, 30 or 7MM.

Redding Competition Die Set (Micrometer Seater, Micrometer Neck Bushing Die and Body Bump Die)

Makes 97% of my ammo with .001 runout. The remaining is .002 and the odd round is .003.
