Hi everyone- I’m working with the 95 Gr vld hunting in my new 6 Ackley 1:8 twist.

Just wondering if anyone has advice on seating depth for them- I read on the Berger site that they reccomended seating .010 into the rifling, then .040 out and .080 out- they say one of these will be noticeably better than the rest group wise. I will try this but I would still like to know what others have found.

Thanks

I put .012 to.015 close to the rifling to all my caliber and check mag feed if not give it .005 in till it fit well mag to chamber for single shot rifles yes .010 is good have fun

Thanks for the info- I ran out to the range and did the Berger bullets test- shot .010” jammed, shot just touching the rifling. Shot .040” off and .080. Touching shot 1/2 MOA at 100 and .010 jammed shot a tad better but does not fit mag length- so I think I will settle on just touching the lands. This is meant to be a deer/coyote gun- not one to single feed.

Thanks again
