6mm and 30 cal in same mold.

In a casting batch I just bought one mold is 245496 and 311410. Why would a person go that way? I understand two different weights in same cal. but a different cal ! It is a Lyman mold. Do you guys have anything similar? Thanks

At one time, Lyman would make up most anything.
For a meat and potatoes hunter, that would be all he would need and a year's supply of bullets could be held in one hand.
If he lived remotely, then space and store bought goods would be at a premium.
