Hi all,

I just started messing with a Ruger American Predator 6CM. So far I have only loaded the Hornady 100gr BTSP which shows a good node right around 41gr H4350 at 2.625" OAL. I like the 100gr BTSP as its a lower cost bullet for range practice and could serve well in the field too.

My next bullet to try is the 95gr SST. Has anyone tried these in 6CM? Any good loads/OAL's? Useful powders on hand are H4350, and Staball6.5

I have some 58gr Vmax to test too, likely with varget.

My hunting ammo is a Barnes factory loaded LRX 95gr. Only shot 2 three shot groups with those. Accuracy was decent but not great. Little over MOA. I might tweak the OAL on those and see what it delivers. Barnes recommends 2.775" with those and thats where the factory ammo OAL is. I see a few loads online, include Ramshot's data, with the 95gr LRX at 2.750".

Anyone tried the 95gr LRX is 6CM?

Cheers

I just cranked on a barrel in 6CM, only tried 105gr VLD Bergers so far. Mine isn't a hunting rifle, 12.5lbs. Using H4350 and like what i see, will be trying H4831 soon, as well as 90-100 gr bullets i have for hunting.

My 6mm Creed loves the 95gr LRX, I am .050" off the lands @ 2.807" OAL. I use RL26, velocity is 3125 fps from the 24" Proof 7.7t barrel
