So, with all the nomenclature for this (these) rounds, I have one question; has anybody fired the rimmed version in a rifle that was chambered for the rimless or vice versa?
I presume that one combination would at least cause issues with feeding or extracting but in the apparent toing and froing, perhaps there was some interchangeability allowed for? I'd put money against it but .....
I've lost my mind trying to track the which came first, which was adopted in which weapon and recently told, each came with two possible shoulders.
