6mm Rock Chucker Info wanted

A friend of mine has a rifle chambered for 6mm Rock Chucker.Can anyone help us out with some reloading info?

You mean .243 Rock Chucker? Or .243 Super Rock Chucker?

The 243 Rock Chucker has been around for more than 50 years. It was made very popular by Fred Huntington of RCBS, and is the .257 Roberts necked down to .243.

The 6mm Rock Chucker might be the same, but not likely. You would be best to make a chamber cast to see what it looks like.

Just got of the phone with my buddy, he says the barell is marked ".244 Rock Chuck" and 1955.

Does your buddy have any brass with the headstamp on it?

The brass he has is stamped 6mm Rem. I think it's safe to say it is a 6mm Rem. Thanks for the help

There you go. I couldn't find anything specific about it but my guess is somebody changed the shoulder angle on the case. Likely something close to an Ackley. I would think you can start with normal 6MM loads and work up from there.
