7.62 x 39 sight in distance

Mine is on for 75 yards. It is a fixed 4x20 dust-cover-mounted scope from leapers and no matter how many times I remove to clean it stays on zero. At 100 yards I guesstimate holding it 1" and at 200 yards I hold it about 1 1/2-2". Works great for me.

IMHO its a 200meter max rifle, so a 25 or 50 meter zero should get you fast hits out to 200meters. it will be high at 100

I sight it in about 1/4-1/2 inch low at 25m. That seems to give me everything pretty damn close to poa out to 200m.

sighting in at 25 = poa at 200
sighting in at 50 = poa for 100.

decide which you prefer/shoot more at, and sight in from there

I'm pretty new to rifles, so can you educate me please, how to use SKS rear sight ?
It's ladder, but slider doesn't have any marks, so how should I set it, let's say, for 100 m ?

And it may seem to be an idiotic question, but if I can use 25 (and/or 50 m) range for initial sighting, how should I set rear sight ?

Thanks in advance !

I have mine sighted for 200, but I can get a 1" - 1 1/2" group at 400-450

That is F#$%IN Awesome shootin.
The best group I ever got outa my SKS was just under an inch...................with the bayonet.
My old gun is so tired the only way it will get out to 450 yds is in the back of the car.
