Well, after calling in and seeing many, many Jakes this year, finally came up with success. Called this Tom in with the CGN Call that I won last year, in which grnhawg donated. Was quite pleasing to call this in with this particular call. I ended up trying out a new property, this guy was at least 500 - 600 yards away, but he came in on a rope, and was down at 6:35 AM.

Beard 9 3/4"
Spurs 3/4" & 7/8"

Beauty bird!

And that's at least three mature toms that have fallen to grnhawg's calls this year - his, yours, and mine. (And others, no doubt!)

The big difference, however, is that you and grnhawg probably actually know how to use your calls, unlike myself! :p

From the looks of the tag, you're in Quebec somewhere...
Where abouts are ya from?
Congrats on a great bird. I wasn't so lucky to have bagged one, but I sure enjoyed tryiing!

Excuse the question, but is that a "Merrium" turkey?

LH

notice the fan feathers. thats the only way to really tell the difference. Merriams are indigenous to the western states (usually). There are also the Rio Grande turkey. Indigenous to the southern states.

Congrats 7.62 on harvesting another fine Ontario Eastern.

Sweet! Nice bird! If you don't mind I'll grab a couple of those pics for my website when it's done. Aint a gonna tell what it's called in case the white moose guy buys the domain name like he did TomTalker.
