Ive got a 7.62mm mauser, but the bolt still works when the wing safety is all the way to the right. Is it missing peices? The rifle is German manufactured, 1944. Numbers dont match, so maybe the bolt is from a knock off?
When all the way to right a lobe should cam the cocking piece back and lock up the bolt. Vertical the cocked bolt should be safe but the bolt will move, as in for unloading.
