Tradex has some good prices on Czech 7.62x25 surplus ammo. This ammo is in 8 rd stripper clips. I have heard rumors that this cartridge is too hot for the TT33. Anyone have any info on this? Thanks

Armies try to make everything "soldier-proof". I doubt they would have two versions of the same ammo, with one flavour for his SMG and another for his sidearm.
(Yes, I know about MkVIII 303 for the Vickers....)

The ammo is labled 7.26 PI, the pi stands for pistol. You are good to go. Plus the Tokarev is a tank. That crap kicks like a .357
I shoot that ammo with my TT33. No problems so far. It does have a pretty good snap to it. Love the sparks and smoke too.
When you are a little sweaty and wind is pushing stuff back at you I found out that you get covered in little bits of the lacquer they coat them in. Other then that the 1954 dated stuff I am shooting I have only had one failure to fire out of about 500 rounds used so far and that was probably due to being dirty.
