With the popularity of the Tokarev (thanks Kelly's) I'm finding it quite difficult to find a local dealer who carries 7.62x25 for my Tok. Most of the online suppliers seem to be sold out of even the surplus stuff, and besides I only need a couple hundred rounds for now. Anyone know of an ammunition honey hole here in the region?

Marstar has crates of 2280 rounds for $279. http://www.marstar.ca/dynamic/product.jsp?productid=76552 Shipping is not bad to Ottawa.
The crate I got has 12 different lots (I guess that's what to call it) but mostly aym 53 lacquered steel case, copper jacket steel core. Some brass case/nickle plated steel core, and brass case/copper jacket. It's all 1953 dated...probably 50/50 bxn/aym.
I think I'll save the nickle stuff for zombies or werewolves :)

I also purchased a crate from marstar last week and recieved it it this morning, I had at least 5 different lots 75% is aym green steel case / cupro nickel bullet (top left), 20% of aym brass case/nickel bullet some with light rust on the bullet tips (middle top and bottom), one box with weathered bxn brass case with copper plated bullet some of them appears to have been cycled in an gun a long time ago with one really shorter (middle), 2 box of bxn brass case/brass plated bullets (top right) and 1 box of aym brass case /cooper bullet (right middle).

the price from marstar is good and their shipping is reasonable.

still waiting the gun to start shooting this amml

I hope the aym with steel case silver bullet will shoot ok, this is wat I have the most and they seem well preserved (no rust or discoloration) Can you report how they fired by type (head stamp and look) ?
