I want to buy a surplus crate of this ammo. It used to be really cheap
But now all I can find expensive ammo. Any online sellers selling for cheap?

just awaiting the arrival of my first tok. cant seem to find any decent priced crate of ammo. by the time shipping is factored in, its the same as buying local... nearly 600 bucks for a crate. a bit more than i'd like to spend.
anyone have any leads?

Last I heard is that Marstar is waiting for permits to import a good batch of regular surplus stuff, from what country I don't know. Its comming. Key to this is when dealers have guns for sale that use this cartridge, they will find ammo for them. When you see no guns in particular caliber on the shelfs, then you need to get your reloading gear ready.

So why is the Czech stuff $100 more then the Russian stuff… is the Russian stuff garbage?

Ah ok, never seen this stuff in my neck of the woods Ontarioh. Looks like 1985 production, pretty new stuff. If its less than checz then go for it. It was all made to same specs although Checz ammo is usually hotter than it needs to be. They were loading it for their internal army use weapons mainly sub guns and Cz52. I fired lots of it and its pretty accurate. Toks will digest all of it no problem. Never had a chance to shoot Russian stuff so can't say anything. Usually ammo in Soviet Union was produced at high quality level tightly following established specs. So should be no problems.

As much as I hate the customer service at Lever.. they do surprise me with some of the stuff they carry.

How did this stuff go up so high!?
It was $250 a crate only about 2 years ago last time I bought one.
Crazy.

Even I am wondering the same. Factoring in inflation and increased costs of fuel etc. the prices now-a-days of 7.62 x 25 is almost at part with 9mm ammo.
I am torn between getting myself a DA P762 or a good 9mm. But not finding cheap/surplus tok ammo (7.62 x 25) has been a big deterrent. Are the days of $250 a crate simply gone for tok ammo? I see plenty of reasonably priced 7.62 x 39 around and wonder why they are cheaper than 7.62 x 25s?

Demand and supply should bring the prices down, especially since the US is NOT importing the 7.62 x 25 anymore.
