What happened?

I can't find one gun shop in the lower mainland that sells the good old fashioned Russian surplus ammo that was conveniently pre stripper clipped to 10 rounds.

Smokey and corrosive as hell... None of which I minded.

So now I get to pay more for some annoying Chinese made rounds, claiming to be non corrosive, gift wrapped like crazy into 20 round boxes?

I remember shooting with my and buddy watching him try and load his sks with that garbage, it took forever to load.

If anyone knows how I can avoid this BS, please let me know.

Ya I love to vent. Nothing against the Chinese's, they're cool....

The Chinese food here is delicious.

The methods of packaging is slightly overkill for the ammo. I figured they'd could have used all that extra paper and cardboard for making Chinese take out boxes and fortune cookies instead of packaging cheap bullets.

I guess it's cheaper than the labor involved to put bullets onto stripper clips.

I don't mind paying a bit more for the clips. I checked Wolverine and they are the same price as Lever's sale on Norinco non corrosive. $60 for shipping is okay, I paid $245 plus taxes from lever a year ago for the same brand and quantity Wolverine is selling.

I will call and confirm with them first just in case the image for the ammo is wrong.

I used to tell people to save their stripper clips. But after several years of having Czech surplus available on clips, they couldn't believe that there would ever come a time when those clips would be worth anything.

It is the same thing that the surplus market has done time and again.

Guys who see me with my cut 10 rd clips (into 2 5s ) tell me how dumb that was and that one day the x39 clips will be worth tons of cash like enfield clips always look at me funny when I say have a full grocery bag full of them so I can't wait... Don't know why anyone would throw a clip out

We have a bunch of these rounds since we sold our 858. If you're interested, let us know.

It was a case of them, and we never show many, so it should be close to a case.

mstoetz1,

I'd love to grab a case off of you. Fire me a message and let me know how much. Hopefully you're not too far from richmond.

I wish I had saved my clips. I didn't throw them out, I just let the boys with the boxed ammo have mine thinking I'd have readily available ammo with clips.

I actually just bought one of these cases from Wolverine. They come with stripper clips and its the same box as in the picture.
Here's the box

I put them all into ammo cans already but the box had 4 big bags, filled with individually packaged 10 round clips.

Here is what they look like after being removed from the packs.
