Probably Romanian and no matter what they tell you, it is corrosive.

With 7.62x39 always assume its corrosive - because quite simply most of it is.

I bought 1400 1964 Chinese 7.62x39 listed as non corrosive at the store and on the packing slip.....it is corrosive

You'll know if you're buying non-corrosive.. Your jaw will will hit the floor when you see the price. Over $1 per round at CT.

Some newer production Chinese is non-corrosive, (see Canada Ammo) it isn't military surplus, but commercial production. This Chinese commercial production ammo has been available on and off since the 80's

Old production military surplus is definitely corrosive regardless of origin.

that's what i found out after 2 e-mails to make sure it was non-corrosive before i bought, even then no apologies or comments after they change web flyer to corrosive

Go for Silver Box - that's the real Non-corrosive x39.
