7.62x39 quiet loads

Some good subsonic loads for the 7.62X39. I like Red Dot and heavy (200+ gr) cast bullets.

The science behind quiet loads is very simple - the lower the volume of gas, and its pressure at the muzzle, the less noise.
 
If you are developing subsonic loads, make sure you work down to the final load and not up as is normally done with conventional loads. Using too little powder can potentially be dangerous.

If you are using a long barrel it is a good idea to lube the bullets to ensure they leave the bore. It is very easy to stick a bullet in a dirty bore and not notice. The next shot will cause bad things to happen.
