I have a some extra barrels kicking around and this came up as a project. Anyone done one on a match quality bbl for shlitz and giggles? How accurate can you get em to shoot? Did you use a .311 or .308 bbl? Be a fun plinker.

Cheers

had a barrel off a 303 Brit P enfield done up. haven't had much time to do lots of development but it showed promise with handloads.

Surplus shot like cr@p still.

even got it to feed from a 223 center feed mag - some mods needed to the mag.

308 bolt face with extended extractor (could modify a 223 to work I am sure).

It was a fun little project and will likely get back to it when the temps drop and have some more time.

however, a 223 blows the doors off anything this chamber can do.

A cool thing to try might be a 243-39, or is that the 6ppc?

It would not be a PPC as that case is improved.

However, there is a BR shooter that is playing with such a wildcat and reporting excellent results.

If building a high pressure rd, I would want a sharper shoulder and low body taper.

the 7.62X39 case were stretching too much under the loads I was putting on them.

Or maybe the 6mmAR, basically a 6.5 Grendel necked down. Would be just about perfect in a CZ 527.
