7.62x39 surplus ammo deal

hi, i was in cabela's/winnipeg today and noticed they were selling 7.62x39 surplus ammo. made in chec., non corrosive, packed in a 1120rd wood crate. price was 199.99/case. seemed like a good deal and wanted to pass it to the gunnutz. the kid said they ordered 50000 cases, but i'm thinking they ordered 50 cases of 1000 as all i saw on the floor was 35 cases left. if its a good deal fellas, don't wait. i need to buy a red rifle just so i can shoot cheaper.

I don't think there is any such thing as non corrosive Czech surplus 7.62x39.$199 is about the current going rate.

Its corrosive. Did they have a sign saying non-corrosive? If so, lol.

50,000 cases is nothing to them.

But you're right, I believe all Czech ammo is corrosive.

Berdan primers on the Czech surplus is CORROSIVE.

Boxer primed stuff like Norinco, Prvi Partizan, Remington is non-corrosive.

I have Chinese copper washed that is corrosive.

It is milsurp though, and not commercial export.

The paper wrapped CHinese is corrosive. All is Berdan primed.

Is all Berdan primed corrosive and all Boxer primed non-corrosive? Is it that simple?

thanks for the ammo lesson fellas. like i said i was walking by the stuff and just wanted to let the guys know. might save some of the manitoba guys some shipping is all. i don't even own a firearm of that calibre. have a good one

I was in there the other day and they had a huge stack of them on the floor and mentioned to one of the gun guys that they had an ample supply. He laughed and said I should see the warehouse.
